Mr. Joseph Lartey
Mr. Joseph Oko Lartey (Chief Executive Officer) currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Central Securities Depository (GH) LTD, a position he has held since October 2023. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mr. Lartey has a deep expertise in information technology. Before he was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the CSD, he was an Assistant Director at the Bank of Ghana and the Head of Information Technology (IT) Operations of the Bank. Mr. Lartey has played vital roles in significant projects designed to shape the growth of Ghana’s financial industry ecosystem by the Bank of Ghana. Some of the latest projects participated in by Mr. Lartey include the ongoing SWIFT/RTGS Migration from ISO15022 to ISO20022 Messaging Standard, the Online Regulatory Analytics and Supervisory System (ORASS), and the Centralized Foreign Exchange Bureau Management System for the country.
Mr. Lartey was a core team member responsible for implementing the Central Securities Depository (CSD) project at the Bank of Ghana in 2004. Also, he was a team member who worked with the Parliamentary Sub-Committee on Finance to review and bring into being the Central Securities Depository Act 2007 (Act 733). He worked on debt instruments from his early days in the Bank, witnessing its transition from the paper-based certificates to the present electronic book entry form. He has undertaken study visits to nineteen (19) Securities Depositories and Exchanges worldwide, including STRATE in South Africa and NSDL of India.
The Bank previously seconded Mr. Lartey to serve as the first Head of the IT Department of the CSD (GH) LTD when finally, the CSD became a fully-fledged company in 2010 until 2013, when he was called back to the Bank. He has since continued to offer technical assistance to the CSD on several projects. He led the implementation of CSD’s Information Security Management System (ISO/IEC27001) and Business Continuity Management System (ISO/IEC22301). Also, he played an instrumental role in various projects at the CSD, including the Securities Depository Project and the Automated Trading System (ATS) project at the Ghana Stock Exchange. He was part of the team that facilitated the merger of the Bank of Ghana CSD and the GSE CSD into the current CSD in 2013.
Mr. Lartey is an IT specialist with a rich educational background in IT and Finance, and an alumnus of reputable institutions in the UK and Ghana. He holds a double Master, MSc. in Business Information Technologies from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana. He obtained his first-degree B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He also has qualifying certifications in ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer/Leader Auditor and ISO/IEC 22301 Lead Implementer.

Mr. Dornu D. Narnor joined the CSD in 2013 as Head of Finance and Administration. He is a Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (FCCA, ICAG). He holds an MBA in Finance and has vast experience in finance. He is responsible for handling the Finance and Accounting functions, Human Resource Management and the General Administration of the Depository.

Ms. Faustina Coleman-Forson

Ms. Faustina Coleman-Forson
Faustina Coleman-Forson is a capital markets leader with over 11 years at the Central Securities Depository (CSD) Ghana as Head of Operations, where, through collaboration, has delivered major reforms including a new depository system, the CSD–GSD merger, and Ghana’s Domestic Debt Exchange Programme. Her expertise spans post-trade and depository operations, risk, compliance, and governance, strengthened by a six-year tenure as Company Secretary. Previously, she was a Wealth Management Relationship Manager at BB&T in the U.S., advising high-net-worth clients on investment and estate strategies, enhancing regional performance with global perspective. She serves on key committees such as WACMIC, the Capital Market Master Plan Working Group, and the Central Bank’s Secondary Market Committee, and holds an MBA in Finance from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School with NASD/FINRA certification.

Mr. Ambrose K. Karikari

Mr. Ambrose K. Karikari joined the CSD in April 2011. He holds an MBA degree with Finance option, BSc. Information and Communication Technology and IT Professional Certifications. He has immense professional experience in Business Intelligence Systems & Networks, Information Security & Business Continuity Management Systems and IT Service Delivery Management over the years. He worked with Ghana Telecom Ltd, Vodafone Ghana Ltd, and Electronic Data Communication Systems. He is in charge of managing the systems and networks, business continuity management system and IT Service Delivery of the Depository.

Mr. John Dametey Tanihu

Mr. John Dametey Tanihu
Mr. John Dametey Tanihu is a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CGA, CA and ACCA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He holds a B.Sc. Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK and an MBA in Financial Services from University of East London, UK. He has over seventeen years working experience in Ghana and United Kingdom. He is responsible for providing among others an independent and objective assurance on whether the Depository’s risk management, control and governance processes, as designed and approved by the Board and Management are adequate and functioning effectively.

Mr. Moses K. Abakah

Mr. Moses K. Abakah
Moses K. Abakah joined the CSD in April 2011 and initially worked with the Operations Department. before taking on his current role in September 2017. Moses holds Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics from the University of Cape Coast and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil.) degree in Economics from the University of Ghana.

Miss Horlali Bodza-Lumor

Miss Horlali Bodza-Lumor
University of Ghana Business School, a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK, a LLB (Hons) from the Faculty of Law, University of Ghana, and a Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law, Makola. She was called to the Ghana Bar in October 2012 and joined the CSD in August 2018 as Legal Officer. She was appointed by the Board as Company Secretary in October 2019 and also heads the Legal Unit of the CSD. Ms Bodza-Lumor previously worked with Zenith Bank Ghana Limited as a Legal Officer and also with the erstwhile Procredit Savings and Loans Company Limited.
